Explanation Design Outcome

I did not fully decide but referring to the two written outcomes I wanted to fuse them, a controversial conversation about covid and its lockdown. At the talk with Charlie, Dan mentioned that I should be careful with the topic, to which I cut him off to specify that I did not want to bring the racial matter to, and this was one of my fears throughout the project focusing on a black designer as a white male, plus due to being trilingual sometimes I word things wrong making them sound what they are not.

I wanted to make a sort of digital zine where instead of having text and images you'd have audio and images. I would still try to make a paper zine, so ideally I would want to experiment with both. What I will try to show in the zine is a text that is unrelated/oposite to the images, a kind of poem/essay talking about ones restricted experience lockdown and imagery of the opposite.

Paper Zine: A2 tri-folded to an A5 size making it into an 8-page zine using one A2 sheet. (might add 2nd A3 sheet, making it a 16 page, but to be seen) /("cheat" to make it a 12-page zine by double-folding an A3sheet and add it to the middle of the zine. I want to make 12 because I split my text into 6paragraphs, 1 paragraph per spread/ Update, will use this but due to text length and certain parts I retouched to fit zine.)
Digital Zine: No text-only photography, So I can give myself more freedom in the page count as it will mainly include images and sound. Not sure yet if to make automatic reading as you go through pages or links that viewer clicks on to listen to the recording. Update: I will be using the same layout as the zine but I will replace the text with sound Icones.

Using my friends' essay he sent to me to describe his past months of the pandemic. I made it into a shorter version splitting it into smaller paragraphs. The idea is to combine the text/audio with images that don't match. Because the idea I'd like to convey is how during this pandemic, people reacted differently. The thought of being at two different spectrums is how id like to present this work, where some people were respecting the lockdown whereas others did not. (including me and my friend. He isolated himself to keep himself and his family safe. where I, on the contrary, did not isolate but did not encounter any issue.. so far.) In any case, I tried relating the text with a selection of images, even though they sort of colliding in some sense they are quite opposite. I am hoping for the viewer to understand this. I will give an explanation for the reason why I chose a certain picture.
